I am always on the go, my time is always limited, and I am always at my best when things are stressful or busy. These are all factors I can relate to.
When those time constraints are combined with the stresses of being the only person in your life to have a job and a home, the resulting stress can make the rest of life seem like a big hassle. In fact, according to a recent study by Harvard Business School, “people who have high levels of stress also have high levels of burnout.
For those of us who work our butts off, we tend to have a lot of stress. But we can also have a lot of stress when we’re at home. It’s a bit of a double-edged sword because there are so many different ways to stress yourself out.
Well, this week we went to Boston to see if we had a lot of stress on our hands. We tried various activities on the Boston Common and one of the most popular ones was walking. We walked from the Southie neighborhood across the Charles River to Chinatown and back. It was pretty intense, but we were both surprised when we were done.
Walking is a bit of a double-edged sword because it can be so stressful when you are walking in city streets. It can also be a very relaxing activity when you’re at home in the suburbs. But, at least in Boston, walking can be good for us, if it’s the only stress we’ve had, because we got to do it on a day when traffic was so much worse.
The city streets are very wide and there is little traffic. It was pretty mellow, and we were enjoying the fresh air. After the walk we went and visited the public library, which was a bit of a contrast because we actually checked out the book.
How is this different from a walking game? If I walk, I have to walk with my feet. The opposite is true for walking, which is when you walk and when you walk like this, you have to walk very slowly. We never actually used to do this, but I would have been fine with it if it had been real. But walking on the street is more about the flow of the city, which is very much like walking.
Walking is not like actually going somewhere. I don’t know why, but our feet are like shoes. They are able to adapt to any terrain and are also able to take the stairs and the escalators. You don’t have to walk on the ground. And you don’t have to walk fast. It’s just the way it is.
I agree. But don’t think for a second that walking faster is a bad thing. A lot of people don’t feel like they have much choice when walking because they are so attached to the way they are walking. This is why it is important to walk slowly, to allow your body to adjust to the terrain.
To me, it’s like walking on a road that is not a road. I still have a choice, I can slow down, but I can’t go over the speed limit. I would like speed limits to be lower.
